Home Developer in East Bay Passed Away in Plane Crash

San Francisco Chronicle reported on Saturday that East Bay well-known home builder Peter Branagh, president of Branagh Development together with his wife died on a plane crash. Branaghs were boarding on a private plane that went down in remote canyon in Utah en route to Aspen Colo.

The Branaghs are living in Lafayette with a business located in Danville. The Branagh Development Company specializes in single-family homes, new construction, neighborhood planning, urban infill and renovations. See complete story...

Colorado Wildfires Destroy Hundreds of Homes

Colorado's wildfire burned nearly 350 homes in 34 streets in Colorado Springs that started on Thursday, according to the CNN reports. Firefighters declared wildfire was partially under controlled the day after and is now on the process of searching destroyed homes to make sure no one remained inside.

The Waldo Canyon Fire also quoted a "firesome epic of proportions" by Colorado Springs fire Chief Richard Brown destroyed an estimated 18,000 acres and left 36,000 home less people. According to B...

More buyers affected with the shortage of homes for sale in the market

The shortage of good homes is the current problem of the slowly bouncing back housing market and not the shortage of home buyers. The inventory of active properties for sale in the market dropped to its lowest level since the bubble years. In April, there were a total of 2.5 million homes for sale listed by the National Association of Realtors, the lowest since April 2006.
