Colorado's wildfire burned nearly 350
homes in 34 streets in Colorado Springs that started on Thursday, according to the CNN reports. Firefighters declared wildfire was partially under controlled the day after and is now on the process of searching destroyed homes to make sure no one remained inside.
The
Waldo Canyon Fire also quoted a "firesome epic of proportions" by Colorado Springs fire Chief Richard Brown destroyed an estimated 18,000 acres and left 36,000 home less people. According to Brown, the fire could be fully under control until mid-July.
The wildfire almost hit the area's significant landmarks, such as Garden of Gods and Pikes of Peaks. Unluckily, the Air force Academy's southwest portion of the main campus was burned, which force the 600 families living on the base and 110 dormitory residents to be evacuated.
